Hi Yumi from Higashiku. I stay in Higashiku when in Sapporo. What works for me and weight-loss was a software program called FitDay. It cost about $40 dollars for me I believe. You can access their site on the internet and review how it works. It works for me, but I realize that not every one responds the same.
Good luck.
Let me know if you try it, and if it works for you.

Hi, Jim

May I ask a question? you live in out land now?? why you come to Sapporo and stay in Higashiku?

Yumi, thanks for the reply. Fitday works for me, but my doctor and I agree that each has to find there own solution to the weight problem. That may not always be with the new medical break throughs that will be coming in the future.
In answer to your question about me, My in-laws live in Higashi-ku, and we like to spend time with them. I usually walk to Jusco, or Ito Yakado most days. Their home is about mid-way between the two places. Or, I catch the subway at Shindo-Higashi Station and head downtown to see what's going on. I'm retired, but have no end to curiosity.
In America we say that's what killed the cat (curiosity). Hope it doesn't get me too. Ha!
Take care, Yumi.

Hi, Jim!!
Thanks for your reply.
I live in near the Motomachi station, and I also go to the Jusco often, of course I'm going to the Ario Sapporo some times.
When I was junia high school student, I never seen foreigners in Higashiku, I thouhgt that foreigners are rare and like an alien for me
( I was junia high student ) but now they increased in Higashiku, it's great!!
I hope you come to Sapporo next time, you have nice time in Higashiku.
Thanks!!
Yumi
