Just moved up from Tokyo with my bf.
He's working in IT - leaving me to find some work in teaching somewhere...
A few questions...
1. Where can I find work ?
2. What can I do for fun around here ?

Hope you're enjoying Sapporo....
as for jobs and fun.... hopefully this board will be full of both in no time, so keep checking back... but in the meantime, here are a few alternatives.
1.
Probably most useful is KOKUSAI PLAZA, located opposite CLOCK TOWER. They have notice boards for jobs and language exchanges among other things. You may meet some people there also...

2. www.xene.net is essentially the website I'm trying to replace... It's not well looked after and has not been updated for ages, plus it's a haven for spammers... but occasionally there's a job posting on the message board.
3. Hokkaido Insider (Google it) is an EXCELLENT online subscription newsletter which sends daily/weekly job postings to subscribers.... most jobs are located in Sapporo but surrounding areas also included. 5000yen / year to subscribe... I got my last 2 jobs from H.I ....
Anything else anyone ???
