Shinjirarenai !Hi Jim - I just got it - Thanks alot.
Wow.......That's a great friend to have in Sapporo. It must be a neat little ice-breaker..."So, did I tell you the time I got Hillman's cell number"...
Anyway - you're right about me - I am an English teacher... I'm yet to meet a foreigner in Sapporo who ISN'T... but I hear they exist.
I find the opening question when meeting another foreigner is not so much, "So, what do you DO ?", but more often, "So, where do YOU teach ?"...
I've been living in Sapporo for just on two years now and I've probably seen as much *in terms of sight-seeing* as a tourist whose been here for a couple of weeks... But I'm more interested in the 'day to day' Sapporo - the seasonal festivals in Odori park and the surrounding areas and the general lifestyle of Sapporo - which is a lot more laid back and relaxed than life in Tokyo *I also spent 3 years in Tokyo from 98-2000* - but still full of excitement and surprises...
Take care, Jim.
